Mr. Potter is a certified Information Systems Professional (I.S.P. designation)
and Information Technology Certified Professional (ITCP designation)
registered with the Canadian Information Processing Society (CIPS)

The Information Systems Professional and Information Technology Certified Professional (I.S.P., ITCP) designations are registered under Section 9 of the Canada Trademarks Act as an official mark of the Canadian Information Processing Society.

Designated Membership is a member privilege that is only open to CIPS members who meet the requirements for the I.S.P., ITCP designations. They can be used ONLY by designated CIPS Members in the form of I.S.P., ITCP and the French translation, IPA (Informaticien Professionnel Agréé. Voir: Fédération de l'informatique du Québec).

In May, 2009, Mr. Potter became Vice-President of the CIPS Nova Scotia chapter

Mr Potter was the recipient of the 2008 CIPS Alberta Bursary award.
